Would be a damn fine fight. Povetkin more skilled but Brewster was as tough as ****ing nails and had a big punch.

I'll take Povetkin on pedigree but on the other hand the fly in the ointment is that Wlad crumpled Povetkin and Brewster crumpled Wlad.

Agreed. Terrific match. I lean towards Lamon with a big left hook to end it in like round 9.

Down 6-2 or so on the scorecards because Alexander is going to land a lot on that defense. A lot depends on that knee of Brewster's and if he has the footspeed & mobility to get in that optimal zone. He was a plodder at best and somehow or some way he would need to capitalize if or when Povetkin slows down.

I have to go with Povetkin here. He is a much more skilled operator. He would be out thinking Brewster and getting there first all night. Brewster lost to guys like Etienne, Lyakovich, and ****ing Charles Shufford in his prime. And he struggled with Krasniqi. His win against Golota was somewhat impressive, but, it was kind of a one-off. He was getting battered from pillar to post by Wlad before Wlad's fragile chin (and conditioning) failed him. Povetkin operated at a much higher level, and carried more than enough power to keep Lamon honest.

Povetkin by late TKO or clear decision
Brewster’s power makes it dangerous early, but Povetkin’s superior technique, balance, and ring IQ probably win over time.

Terrific brawl by all standards. I would likely favor Povetkin as he was the noticeably more skilled of the two. But Brewster’s punching power, chin and heart would keep in the fight to land some good licks
