    Khan fan here

Khan won the fight by 1 point... Judges failed to score neither round 12 or 11 to Khan... he won either of them rounds...other than that my scorecards were the same

Either way close victory for Lamont in his hometown....fought the perfect fight...and the fight of his life... So no complaints (apart from **** ref and the Judge who scored it in favour for Khan by 4 points)

Rematch will be a war. - I hope Bayless is the ref. He is great. Fck Cortez he is too old for a fast pace fight

Got nothing against what Lamont is saying
Do get agitated by Khan's repeated 'I won the fight' comments

Think Khan will win the rematch by close 1-3 point decision...
But unsure... If Khan thinks he can win with conditioning then he is screwed.

If Khan wins (which I think he will) I expect Khan vs Peterson III possibly @ 147.. late 2013, 2014...

Also: Khan and Peterson respect each other massivly... no matter what the media say. Khan does sometimes get a little bit loose with his wording.... But I think Lamont understands

Khan just about won the 1st fight in my opinion. He will the next, also.

I scored the fight to Khan by 4 points when I watched it and I'm not a fan of either fighter, nor was I biased towards any one of them. Even though Khan was "running", as you say, though, I normally don't penalise it, it's boxing, when a guy is not walking forward taking punches and not staying at range he's automatically "running" and "scared", that's ridiculous. Khan landed more punches than Lamont from what I remember, and that's why I scored the fight that way.
If you give a guy waking forward a lot of value though, and penalise what you call "running", I admit you might score it closer than what I thought. I didn't watch the fight more than once, but from what I remember it was still hard to give the decision to Peterson, but I can accept that the judges did.
This is why I don't think the ref who scored it 4 points to Khan, like me, did wrong, he just views boxing the same way that I do.
Worse scorecards are the super close scorecards after Ward-Froch, a fight Ward completely dominated and lost 1 round maximum, and Klitschko-Chisora when Chisora's pressure was effective but from what I remember the best he got was a round or 2 (not saying he won, but the scorecards shouldn't have been that wide).

I actually liked the ref. He let them fight on the inside. Everybody complain about joe cortez but when we get a ref that doesnt break up an important part of fightin he is a cheater. I wish that ref would ref wlads fights so his big ass kant jus hold when guys get klose. khan acted like a **** boy everytime lamont got klose and thats why he lost. He fouled all night and deserved the point taken off... An im a khan fan. I jus choose my love of boxing over being a fan boy an day.

Imagin if joe frazier was pulled apart when inleashed hooks on the inside... he woulda been a terrible fighter.

Pretty much this, I had the fight a point to khan or at worst a draw (even with the terrible point deductions)

When you have a guy burying his head in your chest your allowed to push off. it was a frustrating fight for Khan but im confident hell win the rematch no doubt

Although Peterson is right about the "Man in the hat", he never touched the judges scorecards, only the supervising officials and I have no problems with the scorecards, just that the points were taken off that screwed up Khans chances of winning that fight

I think Peterson will shock a lot of people and win in pretty decisive fashion.

Right or wrong, the ref warned Khan several times and he didn't listen and kept on pushing. It wasn't a great decision, but he can't say it wasn't coming and he had plenty of time to adjust tactics to avoid it. Khan wins the rematch if it's anywhere remotely close.

How many warnings of pushing do you get before you expect to be penalized?

He did warn him but remember the Ottke-Reid fight where the referee practically warned Reid for hitting Ottke? he even disallowed a blatant knockdown

You cant defend the point deductions by saying "right or wrong" just because Khan was warned

The only way Khan got Lamont off of him was to push, and rightfully he had points deducted.

Damn, I'm torn on this rematch.

I dislike Khan, but sans the point deductions, I think he won the first fight close by just being busier for some stretches of the fight. That doesn't mean he deserved to win by virtue of that alone, but I wouldn't find fault if the judges awarded it to him based on that alone (it's happened before).

But he was penalized due to his lack of understanding in how to deal with pressure effectively and within the rules and Lamont DID win a close fight. Khan's whining afterwards didn't help his case at all.

You scored Khan by 4 including taking off the 2 point penalty?? What were you watching???

It was a close match could have went either way but by no means a robbery like so many are saying!!!!!

Khan needs to find an inside game to beat LP!!
