I'm a huge Pryor fan but even if I wasn't, I wouldn't blame him because Panama Lewis cheated in the Arguello fight. I don't think Pryor knew about it and I don't many of the fighters Lewis trained were aware of the cheating their trainer did. Should guys like Pryor be considered cheats? No, I don't think so. If you go back in history, many trainers cheated to favour their fighters. It makes the trainers guilty but why condemn the fighters for something you can't prove?

Considering Capetillo admitted he was guilty, why do people then blame Margarito for it? It makes no sense. If it was impossible that Margarito could be innocent, then fair enough, but why is it that hard to believe? A trainer cheats to win easier. It's not exactly uncommon in boxing.

Nobody sees Pryor as a cheat because his trainer was. People shouldn't consider Margarito a cheat because his trainer was. Is it possible both Pryor and Margarito knew? Yeah, it is, but if one isn't considered guilty, the other shouldn't be.

Honestly, if Margarito didn't beat Cotto and Mayweather hadn't been afraid to fight him, I don't think anywhere near as many people would take pleasure from calling Margarito a cheat. He was the better man when he beat Cotto and Mayweather was scared to fight him. The handwraps don't change those two facts.

Margo has always been a 'wear guys down' fighter from what I have seen. To be honest I wish that the second Cotto fight would have gone on longer, Cotto probably would have won but Marg might have started to catch up to him, like he did in the first fightl. Still, well done Cotto, who is quite a bit naturally smaller than Marg.

 

Exactly how I feel about the situation...given that fighters are already putting their life on the line by stepping into the squared cirlce first and far most...People have been killed from just getting hit in the head one too many times...for a person to try to gain an advantage by placing foriegn in their wraps is just unaccaptable IMO...No matte how much these Margorito defenders try to dismiss this, it still needs to be pointed.

Yes, cheating is cheating...nobody is disputing that, but when a person tries to tamper with their gloves is just on a totally different level. 1.) Mosley was "juiced up" with EPO Hormones and Steroids when he fought Margarito. Just like Shane "Steroid" Mosley was on steroids when he fought Vargas, ODLH, and so many others.

2.) Pac-Margarito was a FIXED FIGHT, that Margo had to let Pac win so he can get re-licenced.
Pac-Margo was FIXED just like Pac-Clottey, Pac-Delhoya, Pac-Mosley were FIXED too.

3.) Cotto-Margarito II was manipulated by DelaHoya before the fight cause he had the NYSAC order Margarito to come down from high-altitude training 2 weeks before the fight and that screwed up Margo's stamina (this is the similar thing that happend to Barrera before he fought Pac in 2003, cause MAB's stamina was ruined before the fight cause they made him come down from high-altitude too soon)

Margo KO's Cotto 10 out of 10 times, as long as there are no pre-fight interuptions/maipulations.

Cotto has always been overrated, and was lucky to fight replacement Lovermore N'Dou and not have fought Mexico's Juan "el pollo" Valenzuela in 2004, on the Pac-JMM undercard, cause Valenzuela wouldve KOd Cotto then.

 

Molsey was on steroids when he fought Margarito.

Margarito was just trying to "level out the playing field" against a steroid cheating Mosley.


and after the fight, Mosley fought Floyd, and was tested for steroids before the fight.
