Lamont Peterson isn't concerned by people who say he shouldn't be the IBF world champion following his 3rd round KO loss to Lucas Matthysse at a catch-weight of 141 lbs last year. Peterson said: "At the end of the day the belt means nothing". "It means a lot to ya'll, but it means nothing to me". "The belt allows me to have this opportunity to fight Dierry Jean, but that's it". "Who cares about who's no.1, who's no.2,who's p4p, who has this belt and who has that belt". "I care less about that". "So whether you you look at me as a champion or not, it doesn't make a difference". "I don't care". Peterson added: "I just love to fight and i know i'm still a good fighter".
Sad when a title belt means nothing but even sadder when a guy like this dismisses the belt considering how his career has gone ! So many people dream of winning a title and this clown just dismisses it ..he should be stripped of it !
