I give Lamont a solid chance of winning. Khan is going to come out fast. If Lamont can weather that, and do some good work of his own, he might have Khan in trouble in the later rounds.

 

Watch...Lamont will trouble him, he is very imposing and has a decent all around skill-set.

 

Good vid. Lamont described Amir perfectly. A very fast fighter very talented but fights veey amatuerish. Lamont is a very technical textbook fighter my fav style if he can weather the storm for the first 4 rounds and not become a target by staying in front of Khan he can upset Amir. Lamont will need fast feet to cut off the ring on Khan and most importantly attack the body.

 

SUP BAMA? Definitely agree on Bradley and I do remember thosr rumors on Peterson not wanting to talk about the sparring outta respect. Man I do hope this is another one of those fights people sleepin on then all of a sudden can tuen into a FOTY. Bunch of upsets this year. What is goin on brotha, WHAT IS GOIN ONNN?!

 

I believe peterson has a great chance at winning...i think he really a solid fighter,although, I wish his hands were a bit heavier. His size and ability will give khan some problems but with khans speed and amateur style lamount has to be agressive but pick his spots intelligently to where he hopefully can so khan down a bit where peterson can do his best work wherw I think is on the inside....i think peterson should come out early and put pressure on khan early if he wants to win sitting infront of khan with a high guard won't do it

 

Like I said in another thread, the good thing about Peterson is that he has the distance, he has a 3 inch reach advantage on Khan, so that also gives him the ability to fight outside and time Khan trying to get in, or he can try to take it inside.

 

Lamont is very underrated, I'm a betting man and while I think Khan will win I have to take Peterson at those odds. Same with Marquez, there is no way he should have been 16/1 to win by decision I just had to take it. Okay it didn't come off but I look for value.

Khan isn't a 1/12 favourite against Peterson I'm just not having it.

 

Peterson better learn how to be aggressive with the jab, and I dont mean stepping up to range then throwing it, I mean moving in-behind it and trying to stick it on Khan. Of coarse Khan will use movement to offset this kind of attack, but that is where his ability to use the jab this way, and ability to cut the ring off at the same time are vital.

Peterson's biggest obstacle is gonna be closing Amir Khan down imo. Peterson has to take away Amir Khan's ability to move, cause that's probably how he's gonna look to utilize his speed to get off first. I might be wrong, Khan might fight from the middle of the ring and just circle, trying to box around Peterson, but I think Peterson is tall enough to potentially compete from range with him, although maybe he's not quick enough? So Khan might look to exploit that. He may also look to exploit Peterson's tendency to shell up to. One thing is for sure, Peterson is gonna need to use his jab properly, either to stabilize Khan's movement, or stop him from getting too close and attacking him, only I dont think Peterson has the right temperament.

 

Boy, is Bama gonna be embarrassed if Khan wins. You better not make up any excuse for Lamont or post up some crazy biased scorecard if Khan does win impressively man. I want you to give him the props he deserves this time.

 

Totally agree about the jab work. Just like Forrest did with Mosely.

I can't believe the odds are 1/12?! They haven't posted on my site yet, but man I hope they don't drop over the next few weeks. I put on Manfredo at +450, and an hour later it dropped to +400.

 

I'm objective with my cards and most of the time you'll find IB and I actually agree, even if we have different ways of coming to the same conclusion.

It is just that sometimes I have a card that is out of the norm. That simply is because I have a set criteria of what I look for.

 

Fair enough, well if Khan wins I don't expect any excuses from you or anything. I mean you have just pointed out why he gives him major problems, so it seems like a good win if Khan pulls it off.

 

If Khan wins he would clearly have the #2 record in the division after Bradley and I would recognize him as a legit prospect/beltholder.
