These are two of my favorite fighters at 140. Both have solid beards, good defense, but only average power. Lamont may be the better body puncher but I think Bradley may have the better overall offensive arsenal. So who takes it?
I picked Peterson, but it would be a close fight. Bradley can be a little too tentative at times when a fighter tries to control the outside with him (i.e. the first siz rounds of the Witter fight), and I think Peterson would be just a little more active and be able to win rounds, using his height advantage to control the action. That said, Bradley has much better one-punch power than Peterson, and would have the opportunity to change the fight, and he isn't a shabby boxer himself. If Bradley can stay aggressive, he could win, I just don't see him doing so enough to take enough of the early rounds to pull out the win.
Wasn't Bradley a prospect going up against a world champ in the form of Witter? I would venture to say that Lamont's resume is better than Bradley's before he became champ.
I'll take Bradley by decision.. I do like Peterson and would like to see him in bigger fights as well as his brother..
