Lamont beat the tar out of Danny and looked like the superior fighter. I also have no problem with Danny getting the nod. Why did this happen? Lamont had a puzzling game plan. He skipped around for the first 7 rounds or so, barely throwing any meaningful punches. He stood his ground in rounds 8 and 9, and was busting Danny up. For some strange reason, he started skipping around for the first 2 minutes of round 10. He went back to walking down Danny in the last two rounds, and once again was beating Danny up.

What Lamont was thinking is beyond me. He's much faster than Danny, has great stamina, and defended well coming forward. I'm not sure why he spent so much time running around the ring.

He fought like a total puzzy.

If he grew a pair he would have won the fight instead of waiting till the end to actually fight.

Because Garcia is too strong early...he started to get tired midway

Completely agree. If he fought like he fought those last two rounds the whole fight he would have won. He proved to be the better fighter.

Exactly he clowned like he was dominating the fight. He's an idiot and fought a dumb fight he could've won but has no one to blame but himself.

I can understand Peterson moving early. However, if you're going to employ that strategy for the first 7 rounds, you're going to have to pick spots throughout some of those rounds where you try to do some damage yourself. Peterson didn't do that and it cost him.

True...he should know by now that judges don't like all that clowning, anyway. Fight dammit.

    Agree.

He was far and away the better fighter and had his best rounds when he pressed the action WHICH IS HOW HE USUALLY FIGHTS.

Really stupid gameplan from a guy who has the engine to throw 100 a round for 12 rounds.

Petersens body work was very impressive and turned the tide

If he had started to do that sooner he would have won

I don't get the guys saying that he couldn't have fought like that the whole 12 rounds. There wasn't a single shot that Garcia landed that looked like it hurt him. Plus if he had fought better early he could have coasted towards the end. When he went to the body, he landed very well. He could have slowed garcia down a lot faster and easier.

Pederson gave too many rounds away. I think in the 10th he started to showboat again and literally didnt land anything of substance, yet the TV scorecard awarded him that round
