The problem I see for Peterson will be that he is A) on the road in this fight, and B) an unspectacular fighter. Combine those two, and he is going to be damn near perfect to get a decision in Bradley's back yard. This should be a razor sharp decision - I might even float some money on a draw if the odds are long enough.

  2. No, Holt just regressed in the fight, which he has a bad habit of doing and cannot be denied. And, it's not like Holt wasn't lighting him up with powershots. I do seem to remember Bradley getting KD'd TWICE in that fight. Bradley ain't that good fella, sorry to tell ya. I give Bradley credit for his determination against Holt but to say he was the one who took Holt's jab away is just silly. Holt stopped throwing it, point blank.

I think Peterson fighting someone of Bradley caliber is a bit too soon for him this fight would have been more competitive had this been 2011. But anyhow they are both good boxers and defenders but at the end of the day I think Bradley workrate and experience is going to win him this fight by UD.

These guys are my two favourite young(ish) american fighters , I really love Bradleys aggresion and guts and I like Lamonts style. I think the consesus here is right if Bradley can smother Lamont , then he wins but I'm going to pick Peterson to just outbox him.

    Potentialy excellent fight tho !

This is hard fight to call. Bradley is on a roll and Lamont has skills for days but has yet to be tested by anyone serious. Ive been talking up the peterson brothers for a couple of years now. Imma go with lamont. Ive always thought this cat had hella skills and would one day be world champ. My only worries is that Arum put him in to early. lamont should have fought a Demetrius Hopkins and ender cherry first...this is like jumping way in the front of the line.

    i favour bradley here.

i'd tip anthony peterson to beat bradley.

    he's the better brother.

    competitive 12 rounder.

bradley a bit too good though. :bbb

  7. Just a few short days 'til these old friends get in the ring with one another. A good night of boxing to be sure.

Peterson is going to have to win 8-9 rounds just to get a SD in Bradley's backyard....Peterson imo is more of a naturally gifted fighter...

  9. Yeah, it sucks that it's in Bradley's backyard but what can you do? It wouldn't surprise me if Lamont gets robbed because we all know robberies are commonplace. Hopefully Barry Hunter implores Lamont to not give rounds away because he cannot afford to.

It's a sorry state of affairs both that hometown robberies still happen routinely and that there's still corners out there who are naive (or stupid) enough not to acknowledge that and prepare their fighter accordingly.

I'm looking forward to a good scrap between these two. I have alot of respect for how Bradley's carried himself and how he took the title on Witter's home turf, but Peterson's not a guy I root against either. May the best man win, and may we avoid another No Contest. :thumbsup

i am looking forward to this fight... this will be only the second time ive seen peterson fight, so i dont have a take on the fight. I am however rooting for Bradley, id like him to build this momentum hes getting right now

Holt, Campbell, Witter, and if he can beat Peterson.... hes the man to beat in the division if hes not already. So so many interesting matchups at 140..... i just hope this is a good fight.

  12. I'm really hoping Barry Hunter isn't that guy.

Im pulling for Peterson. I really like the kid and he is underrated in my opinion at 140. Bradley is a good fighter but has several vulnerabilities that I think Lamont will exploit and capitalize on. Lamont has slick boxing skills and solid defense. Bradley is vulnerable to a fast and consistent jab and is fairly easy to hit off the jab. Lamont has his moment to shine, I feel he will perform and pull off the upset
