I tell you. People let the hate cloud their judgement. Danny did deserve to lose and looked terrible down the stretch, but unfortunetly he (lamont) wasted too much rounds running a marathon and flickling pitty pat jabs while eating solid right hands. Nobody here can't lie to themselves saying the word running didn't came to their minds in the first rounds. Even danny mocked him for running

Lamont should have started earlier. I picked Lamont to win by SD but I feel he lost. Definitely should have done more in the early rounds. Just my opinion. Not sure about taking "solid" right hands from Danny tho because if you notice in his fights, he often rolls with the punches by turning his head, a strategy used to soften the blow. Only downfall to that is it looks worse than what it actually is...
But he did make Danny look average last night and really has me wondering if Danny is a top tier fighter. Same stuff happens far too often...I think he lost a lot of confidence after the Hererra fight, also. He's accomplished a lot and done well for himself, don't get me wrong, but Pete had him looking bad those last few rounds. Tired, beat, confused...
During the fight, couldn't help but think how he would fare against May, Pac...after this fight...well, you know how that would turn out. I'm pulling for the dude, personally. Down to earth brother who came from nothing, making the most of his opportunity but he and Angel need to get to work. He's doing something right because 30-0 ain't no joke (even tho I think Hererra beat him) but they need to change some things and improve on others.

He landed the better shots in the early rounds. He had notable body shots. Peterson had flyweight jabs.

If Lamont "started earlier" Garcia would have punished him.

He made Garcia miss and tire himself out...

I thought Peterson probably edged it but it was a close fight and Garcia winning isn't a robbery at all

Garcia got outbox in the early rounds and out fight in the late rounds.

Solid post. Danny is exposed. I think he could really use a new trainer. Work on his right hand, footwork and stamina issues

Look.....I'm going to give it to you real. I wanted to Danny to win. I don't hate the kid at all. I dig that he's made it. I get that he's an overachiever and is in this position but Danny won maybe 3 or 4 rounds at most early on. His offense was nullified by Peterson's jab and movement. The jab of Lamont allowed him to control the rang and the pace of the fight in the 1st half. Danny had very limited success with his body work due to the game plan of Lamont to keep Garcia at the end of his jab and on the outside.

After round six I saw a shift in how Peterson was fighter...he began to take the fight to Danny on the inside and progressively began to break him down.......winning....DOMINATING the last 4 rounds...the championship rounds. Lamont controlled the first half and dominated the 2nd half. Danny was game....but never got into the fight. The decision was exactly what I expected and I called it. Danny wasn't losing that fight unless he got stopped.......

THey are grooming Danny at PBC to be one of the marquee names that they'll favor but he's gotta have another Lucas kind of performance soon because you are only as good as your last fight. This "win" is paper thin and he's not getting the respect for it. So he has to make people forget by showing out next time around. Avoid Peterson should be the game plan.
