Brother, watchin' that fight was one of the most exciting boxing experiences I can remember. Hell of a fight. Miranda was definately viewed much differently before that fight than he is now.

Given that there is no way Pavlik could stop him, I'll go Lamotta easily.

    The size advantage means nothing.

Lamotta was physically a light heavy who just worked really hard to stay down at middle. He beat and at times stopped several lightheavy contenders of the time.

Lamotta also had a style that negated Kelly's height because Jake had no intention of ever battling guys on the outside. He was fairly crafty defensively, more so than he is given credit for and he would work his way inside often, making Kelly waste shots in the process.

Kelly has acceptable fundamentals and stand up skills but does not have even close to the skill level or versatility he would need to deal with a bloke like Lamotta.

Kelly's main asset is his power, which is made to look more impressive because of his other attributes are fairly average. Above average power is meaningless against a guy who walked down Bob Satterfield.

Over 15 Jake wears him down and stops him...Over 12 he beats out a pretty clear decision.

No I didn't put it to bash Pavlik. It's merely a former MW champ vs the current one.Don't bleed from the ***** that much.

Kelly is just not that good.

Jake has proven to be over a long and distinguished career.
