i,m having the licker in this one.on his night, with no distactions randy would outpoint lamotta.on his way to the title randy was a really big banger and while i don't think he'd have lamotta in trouble he'd have the boxing skills and strength to beat him. it didn't happen because lamotta could no longer make 160lb after losing to robinson in 1951 and thereafter campaigned at light-heavy
I think LaMotta could get him on the inside, where Turpin wasn't comfortable. LaMotta comes on strong down the stretch to win a decision.
i think Turpin would win this people are underestimating Turpins strenght the boy was built like a house
one of my trainers saw him in an exhibition and said he was swinging 56lb weights about like they were pennies.
Jake for me once he gets on the inside he dominates Randy ,if Turpin could keep him at long range it would be his fight ,but I dont see him doing it.
turpin wouldn't have been able to hurt lamotta so i think he would have tried to nick it on decision, but i really don't think he could have kept jake off long enough so lamotta by late KO.
