Perhaps you’d like to discuss the topic like an adult?

A lot of people compare Miguel Cotto to Jake Lamotta ...do you agree ?

No. No comparison whatsoever. And especially in the heart department.

Not at all. Cotto was much more of a technician and he certainly didn't have Lamotta's chin. Cotto was an excellent counter puncher while Lamotta was more of a prototypical swarmer.

Don't listen to him. He's full of ****. Payoso. LaMotta did a lot of tricky things in there.

Quiet child. The adults are talking. Go back to reading your history books about boxing and pretending like you know what you are talking about.

Really? Literally everything you post is wrong. No way in hell does Jake Lamotta have one of the greatest left hands in boxing history. His jab was nowhere near as good as Holman William's, Hearns, Robinson, etc. and if his hook was one of the greatest, his Ko percentage wouldn't be 28%. Perhaps it's the skin tone of his left that is impressing you the most. Seems like a common theme.

Again, he had a good left hand but to have a thread dedicated to it as one of his strengths is just odd. Lamotta was a great fighter but greatest left hand is a hell of a stretch just like your constant shallow claims that you know more about boxing than most of us.

LaMotta had an excellent left jab and left hand. His jab was especially good within his style and quite impressive given his dimensions. He was particularly good in close with that jab popping it out when not expected on a very consistent basis. His hook too was a superb punch and he could really dig it hard to the body when set and doubled and tripled it. His right hand was dormant comparatively.

Where does he say this ? One of the greatest lefts in boxing history ?I think he is saying what he is saying because you are down playin' Lamotta's left as being just decent .. and it was much much more than that as others here are trying to tell ya .... I mean the poster who you are challenging is extremely knowledgably about this era and is WELL read , and has been following this sport forever, seen hundreds of fights live, ,,,, so , imo , his point is valid .....

The very first post in the thread he said he had the one of the greatest lefts he has ever seen. I said that he had a good left but it is nowhere close to being one of the greatest. I have seen all of Lamotta's fight's that are available and again, his strength's were not his jab or his left hook. It was is physical strength, volume punching, heart and chin. I'm not downplaying Lamotta at all.
