    I wouldn't doubt if HBO payed some money under the table to influence some fights.

    So are boxing networks, especially HBO. I expect anything to happen next week in order to favor HBO's future cash cow, that juiced cartel protected Chavesito.

    This was poor though because it led to Kellerman's awful interview with an emotional Bailey.

    Also while I agree with Lampley's point, it's very likely that HBO has played roles in getting guys stripped and getting titles on their preferred fighters. Hell, he's talking about Martinez in the original post, but Haymon and HBO in all likelihood saw to it that Jacobs could fight for the belt and HBO most certainly played a significant role in Martinez losing the WBC belt so they could anoint Chavez Jr. as well.
