I think he was actually crying for both. He sounded a bit choked up for the montage as well as the ending piece about the cameraman. That ****er cries way too ****ing much. :-(
I'll admit straight up that I think Lamps is a tool ninety odd percent of the time as a play by play guy, but in the end I can't rag him too hard for this one. Everyone is entitled to their emotions. I gotta say though, this episode once again displays his ever-present fistic naivete. It obviously hadn't even crossed his mind that Cotto could lose. And he was choking up and looking distressed way before that slo-mo montage.
I believe he was already thinking about the cameraman before the montage began. I just think it hit him when he realized the telecast was winding down.
Maybe. Then again I've seen Lampley get emotional talking about fights before so I wouldn't count out the fact that he cried for two seperate things here. Crying for his fellow co-worker I don't mind, but crying over a montage I find kind of sissy-like.
