the dude is passionate about the sport he's covered for nearly thirty years. there's no shame in him shedding tears over two men, one of whom is dead, giving every ounce of their being in the squared circle, only to become the best of friends in the aftermath.

Nothing wrong getting choked up about that night having beemva part of it. I do think it seemed a little bit act-y - not to say the emotion wasn't genuine but he may have amplified it and laid it on extra thick being self-conscious of the camera. Kind of like those semi-scripted 'reality tv' shows....
I agree....I think he went a little over the top for show The story was great and I enjoyed the flashback:good :smoke
Hard to knock him for this because I had a lump in my throat towards the end when ward was in the hospital and when they opened the curtain it was gatti saying hey Micky u ok?
Teddy Atlas has forgot more about boxing then that whinny arse nicca Lampley will ever know. How come Lampley gets his own show and Teddy Atlas can't have one? Come on
Had it been anyone else at all, I would not have right-clicked on that and added it to my spell-checker dictionary. Anyone else at all...
I think his emotion is real. Ironic how he can be very emotional and genuinely passionate about this wonderful sport, and yet still be paid to **** on fighters, whom dedicate their lives to this sport.
The guy has some emotional issues. I am super moved by the first fight but really Lampley cries a lot. Hes cried or choked up numerous of times. But its all good.... shows his passion I guess.
Reminds me of this [yt]BvTNyKIGXiI[/yt] Im half joking though to be honest. I like seeing passion in this sports fans in that way. Its a serious sport.
