Near the end of the fight, not sure which round, he said

Very observant & it sounded like a direct slap in the face to Wlad Klitschko & a few other fighters who impersonate an octopus in the ring.

Also indicates that JMM fights are all action, start to finish. At 40 yrs old, he looked pretty darn awesome the other night.

I'm going on 62 yrs old & have been watching boxing since the late 50's when I Dad got me interested in the sport. I've seen them all & JMM is probably the most intelligent fighter/boxer I've ever seen in the ring. He's so enjoyable to watch...his combinations & counter punches, almost every shot lands.

This is one guy I'm really gonna miss when he hangs up his gloves.

It's really a thing of beauty watching two equally sized men with two totally different styles go at it in a high paced boxing match.

Combines smart brawling with exquisite boxing skills.

And what i love is he does really excel in any area. He is just solid. Doesn't have the fastest feet or hands, or power, he just is all round good and it works very well for him.

His hook to the body is my fave punch.

This is true. What I like, is when he starts to throw a punch & decides, in an instant not to throw that punch & decides to go elsewhere.

A good example of this is in his fight with Juan Diaz, just before the knockdown, right after he rocked him. Check it out on Youtube!

I have a treat for you. There is a warrior by the name of Joe Calzaghe, who makes JMM look like Micky Ward.:deal

Probably my favorite boxing combination I have witnessed live (on TV). It was breath taking.

My favorite comment of the night was one made by Roy Jones

Max: Alvarado is more dangerous when he's hurt

RJJ: Well he better hurry up and get dangerous

Say what you want about how annoying Max is or how pompous he is at times, but bottom line the HBO commentary team is far and away better and has a ton more chemistry than the Showtime team.

I would take Jim Roy and Max every day of the week and twice on Sunday over the commentary team on Showtime.

Agreed. Paulie is great but the others just aren't as enjoyable to listen to as the HBO team.
