    Yep guy gets emotional sometimes. I remember when he went ****ing mental after the Soto DQ against Lorenzo. To be fair he was completly right about that one- Joe Cortez showing some love to the Mexican opponent hahah

    If the dude wants to get emotional about a sport all of us (well some of us) love, then cool.

    I damn near shed a tear night HBO did the special remembrance for Gatti, Arguello, and Forrest.

    You gotta give it to Lampley. He loves the sport like we do. You can tell he is definitely a bigger fan of some fighters. Hey it was a record breaking performance and if he was a big fan of Hopkins im sure it hit him.
    The Morales-Maidana performance was awesome and i was a lil teary eyed watching him turn back the clock.

    He's been hating on Bhop along with Merchant for over a decade. Lampley breaking down and crying during BHOP's historic moment was his shame and sorrow for all the hating they did on Bhop over the years.

    Hell, after the Jones rematch they literally banned him from HBO and the execs refused to buy any of his fights.

    H.B.O. = Hopkins Bashing Organization.

    I loved how during Merchant's "tribute" that night, every single significant Hopkins win he mentioned was qualified. I also don't think Lampley was that emotional about Hopkins; he seemed more choked up about Ortiz's win over Berto to be honest.

    Oh, so people are refering to the part around 8:40 when he say "You don't have to love him, and very few do, but you have to respect what he has done?"

    That don't sound very teary eyed to me. Was there anythign in the part when they do their post fight recap by the ring? Because that's where I heard he got emotional.

    That "tribute" was ****ing awful, they might as well just left it off of the telecast. :rofl
