I posted this in the "Mainstream" thread; I think this could be great. Lampley, regardless of having his favorites, cares about the sport, cares about fighters, is knowledgeable, and expresses himself very eloquently. I really hope and think this will bring more fans into the sport and make it feel relevant to casual fans and sports fans who appreciate HBO. Guests would be sick.
boxing is coming back baby! UFC had it's 15 minutes of fame. The UFC Fox bull**** was a bust. NBC boxing cards were sick.Good HW fights recently and now a weekly show! All good stuff.
Espn should give Teddy Atlas his own boxing show. Come on how many times can you f'n replay sportscenter?
It's long overdue, I don't think it's going to be anything special, (and considering the time slot, HBO doesn't think it'll be hot either) but at least something.
This is great news, although Lampley does **** me off from time to time during telecasts, it should still be very good for the sport! This might not be a popular opinion on here, but I would much rather they gave the show to Kellerman...I dig his passion for the sport, and it's history, and his charisma.
