Lampley was way out of line last night (on Margarito's "cheating")

Almost as soon was Lampley broke the news of something (we're not sure exactly what yet) being removed from Margo's gloves, he straightaway went into "This HAS TO call into question Margarito's win over Cotto!!!" He was very irresponsible to do that. We don't even know the full details about this incident, and he's already proclaiming the Cotto fight being "tainted". If he was going to get riled up about something, it should've at least been the incident that just happened, the one that Margo is actually accused of. But instead, he glosses over this incident and completely fabricates another one and runs with it. Look at the pissed-off look on his face as he was discussing it, you could see the anger in his eyes. It's as if he's still steaming about Cotto getting upset (remember when he cried after the fight? LOL) and he's still desperately looking for any excuse to jump on.

Heck, why didn't he ask if he had cheated in other fights, period? Why was the Cotto fight the only one he mentioned and the only one he fixated on?

Not only that, but by implying (with no evidence whatsover) that Margo has "cheated" in other fights and thus is less of a fighter now without his "tools", he inadvertently took credit away from Mosley for his effort.

I'd love to see it come out somehow that the commission made a mistake and there was no illegal substance in Margo's gloves after all. That would make Lampley look like the ass of all asses (which he has always kinda been anyway IMO).

Lampley is a total tool IMO.

 

That's why I was hoping the story would turn out to be false somehow. If he did, I'd love to see Margo sue his ass.

Technically, it could still be grounds for libel even if Margo cheated in this particular fight, seeing as there's no proof he ever cheated before. But I doubt he'd sue or win a lawsuit if he really did cheat vs. Mosley.

That pissed-off expression on his face while he was accusing Margo of "cheating" against Cotto was absurd and way over-the-top.
