Lampley was way out of line last night (on Margarito's "cheating")

And now its about to happen with Berto, its already started a little bit. But when JT was getting his blowjob, man I used to wanna turn the tv on mute. I'm glad Pavlik ended all of that. But there's gonna be more to come.

I can't blame him at all there, it was a smart question and a question many fans wondered about and asked, even if Lampley didn't mention it they would have asked as well because it was a major case and they WON'T sit on it or pretend it never happened. If they did ignore it they will be called out for it.

Really? Because I think Lampley was well within his right to question Margarito's big wins. Honestly, who didn't think of the Cotto fight as soon as they started talking about the illegal wraps? I'd say Margarito the one out of line for, ya' know, trying to cheat.

I thought what he said was fair. thats why they have people like Steward there to to balance it outbetween journalism and actual boxing knowledge.

Lampley raised a solid answer and Stweward gave a solid answer.

He never said a word about Cintron or Clottey's hand, and he doesn't know what "everyone" is thinking either, unless he somehow found the time to personally meet every single person who was watching the broadcast and ask them what they thought.

How about NOTHING. It's irresponsible of him to comment on something he doesn't know anything about or is completely unsubstantiated. It goes against his job.

What fighters are those exactly? I've never seen a fighter caught/accused of cheating in one fight and then simply assumed to have cheated in another.

It would be better to have just one guy who actually knows his **** and does his job right.

I wish Jim Gray were to have done the post fight interview. You know he would have pissed Margarito off.

It is obvious as hell that Margarito was nothing more than a damned cheater with rocks in his gloves. He loses the early rounds against Cotto but Cotto fades after being beaten in the head a few times with rocks...... HMMMMM? You reckon?

Cotto bloody and beaten, OH look at the power of Margarito! Or look what getting hit with rocks does to a man's head. Take your pick.

Where was that power against Shane Mosely? It was being tested by officials to find out what type of material it really was.

It doesn't take anything away from Shane to say he beat a man fair and square. What are you Margarito fans trying to say: "Oh yea boy howdy, Mosley may have knocked Margarito the **** out, but there's no way he could have taken the pre-Mosley "rocks-in-glove" Margarito."????

And as such we will never know for sure how Sugar Shane may have faired against Margarito with rocks in his gloves and I'm sure Shane is just so disappointed that he didn't get to fight the guy with rocks and he will never truly be a great fighter until he beats a top fighter with rocks in his gloves.

What a shallow victory for Sugar Shane- Tony didn't even get to use his rocks. They didn't make Sugar Shane remove his talent, speed, or true power. Why take Tony's rocks? Another black eye for boxing- more favoritism- forcing the welterweight champ to fight a legitimately good fighter without the ONLY thing that ever put him in the discussion of top fighters in his weight class, his rocks.

Well I did notice that Lampley looked like he was about to explode. As usual Manny Steward explained everything in calm, professional, I personally am getting sick of Lampley. I always enjoyed Barry Thompkins more than Lampley, Barry is a much more likeable guy.

If Marg did use plaster for the last fight (still to be proven but the manager's story about old wet gauses is nonsense ), Lampley was absolutely correct about casting doubt on Marg's entire career and his biggest accomplishments. When cheaters cheat, they break our trust. There is no reason why we should give cheaters the benefit of doubt, just because they weren't caught before. Getting caught once should be enough to have all your accomplishments expunged from professional record and be liable financially for those who suffered because of your cheating. Lamp's comments were intuitive because they underlined our concerns.
