A bunch of time ago I saw an interview with Lamps where he was asked something along the lines of whether he would ever like to work with Big George again and he said flatly "no". I made a thread about it asking why he disliked George, but I didn't read further than the first few replies because people started dropping spoilers about fights I hadn't yet seen, but intended to, so I never really learned the answer. Now someone posts this video with Lamps and Kellerman talking about Pac Marg and Lamps says his favorite boxing memory is George KOing Moorer, because, among other reasons, George was a good person and a friend (or smth like that). Here's the video if you're curious: http://insidefightweek.com/?cmpid=ABC607¤tPage=4 So, what gives???
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too, because GF seems like a nice guy, but, let's be honest, is a godawful commentator.
This would be my sentiment, although perhaps, I'd choose my words differently. Let's put it this way, Lennox's was the Einstein of boxing next to Foreman. I did enjoy his commentary, though, because it was funny
And here's the video where he says he doesn't miss working with George... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qF8F-wrmMw[/ame] It's in the final 10 seconds of the video.
George saved Lamp's ass during the riot that ensued after the first Bowe-Golota fight i remember Jim being thankful for that dont know what happened between them that makes Lampley saying that about George but maybe they just got tired of working with each other.
