Many oldtimers including great fighters believed sam was the greatist fighter of alltime, and yes i know with a little weights and roids holy beefed up bigger than the other 2 but the others were always in better shape with better skills, johnson would never fight sam after he was champ because he new hed loose his title i think sam beats both and holy barely dec. walcott
Hmm. I think Walcott would decision Holyfield. It wouldn't surprised me if he flat-out schooled him, too. Holyfield doesn't punch hard enough for me to feel comfortable picking him for the KO and I can't see him outfoxing Jersey Joe. Walcott vs. Langford... No idea. With a gun to my head I would pick Walcott via UD with Langford KO being a close second. Holyfield vs. Langford.. a real time machine battle. Cruiser/young heavy Holyfield outpoints Langford and the older, bigger Holyfield loses a decision to him. VERY hard to make the picks regarding Langford, though.
langford is a mixture of tyson AND james toney. i say he beats both. i say he ko'd walcott after some close rounds. holyfield fight would be more interesting. toney schooled and stopped holyfield. langford was a earnie shavers type of puncher, so i wont count out a ko victory for sam.
i think both Walcott and Holyfield would win decisions and fairly wide. And I doubt Johnson knew Langford would beat him he justed looked for bigger money and less risk and when they did meet (langford was pre prime) apparently Johnson beat him easily.
I don't disagree with your outcomes, but what basis do you have for the Tyson + Toney comparison? Also, why do you bring up Holyfield-Toney when Holyfield was shot? Third, do you REALLY think that Langford hit on a Shavers level? I'm not talking about composite punching or finishing (certainly Langford was several classes above the Acorn in these categories) but on a punch-for-punch basis..?
