Langford-Jeffries

I don't know if there is any truth to the rumours that Langford knocked Jeffries down ,I would be inclined to think not.Langford's manager did what manager's do ,"bigged up "his protege.For years after the Johnson Langford fight, he claimed Sam floored Jack and nearly beat him ,when actually Johnson ,considerably bigger, dropped Langford and gave him a hiding ,which Langford acknowledged in later life.
