    Aren't you the guy who tells us Johnson was on the slide by this time? Please do clarify as to when you think Johnson was past his best. I have seen multiple excuses from you over the years regarding his age

    Who do you think was better, McCarty in 1912, or say the Flynn, and Moran Johnson gave title shots to? An answer would be appreciated.

    If I said McCarty would have beaten Johnson in 1913, your retort would be what???? Oh, right you made an issue of Johnson's age ( 35 years old ) in his utter disappointing performance vs. Jim Battling Johnson in 1913.

    As I told you McCarthy was just 20 with one year's experience when he fought Willard at age 30. The fact that it was a news draw tells me a lot. I have seen you repeatedly say so and so was too young to excuse performance and many times that person was over 20 years old! Stop playing you double standards, they don't make you look better.

    Luther wasn't some short and unskilled man for Johnson to clinch and hit. He was bigger, with skills and some power. Plenty of stamina too.

    Johnson on the slide in1912? I think you have me confused with someone else . Johnson had not fought in a year and a half when he faced Jim Johnson,and he broke his arm in the 3rd.

    McCarty had 3 more fights under his belt than Willard did .You didn't know that ,nor the fact that they had begun boxing roughly the same time. You've never seen McCarty box yet you confidently make all these assertions about him.
    Fact is he lost two fights in December 1911 against men Johnson would have been a lop sided favourite to defeat .You have no logical basis to pick him over Johnson in1912,but heigh ho WGAS!What you think?
    ps Do you see McCarty's or Johnson's name in the title of this thread? Why don't you make your own? Then you can knock yourself out slagging off Johnson all on your own? Mr Saddo!
