I don't actually know any of the rounds to this fight, since none were ever shown on the screen. It was a bit of a disappointment, but I guess that makes sense since this was their 10th fight and they were probably both wary of previous brutal encounters. Of the 25 min. video on youtube, it was a close fight 4 some time, but had a clear turning point. At some point during the fight Langford dropped Jeanette three times. The last knockdown took place right before the the bell rang. After that, Jeanette was never able to regain much control, whereas the fight had been very two-sided before the knockdowns occurred. Of course, Langford won the decision, rather easily I would imagine.

Verdict: Dull fight. Not even worth watching imo.

I disagree, it's one of the most interesting HW fights of this era. Much better than Johnson vs Flynn :D

I admit I haven't watched the fight lately, but my recollection is that Langford had the fight well in hand all the way through. I was thoroughly unimpressed by Jeanette's offense. It consisted mainly of an elongated left jab in which Jeanette was obviously trying to keep as far away from Langford as possible, almost as if he was bailing out before it landed. I think this lessened the effect of his punches so that the officials scoring the fight would be within their rights to discount those punches accordingly.
