What I get from this is Langford lost to Gunboat Smith. FACTY: Gunboat was sick in the rematch or he'd have taken him again.

Gunboat always said it took everything out of him to eek out the first Langford fight, and he was never as good again. He described himself as "washed up" by the time of the rematch.
