Would be a good one, but Perro has learned from his loss to Cintron and seems like he starts his fights alittle earlier now. In the clinches as some of us has seen he is highly affective and will not let you off the hook. Lara is very good, I wouldn't know who to pick, but I'd give Angulo a slight edge for now. I don't know how Lara would respond to a pressure fighter and how good his chin is.
Perro didnt really learn anything from the Cintron fight other than to not take fights when he is sick.... Cintron isnt exactly excited about rematching him, and for good reason, However I do think they should fight again, Lara just isnt ready and I wouldnt say 3 or 4 more fights, I am saying 3 fights that mean something 3 fights in which he can be tested in areas he hasnt been, you do not want to step in there with Angulo only to learn your not ready, its best to find that out first.
Angulo was sick when he fought Cintron? I wasn't aware of that. When I saw Angulo fight that other fighter after his fight with Cintron whose name I forgot, but he had a very similar style to Cintrons except the big right hand. Angulo was fighting at a faster pace and much more aggressively even though he was was getting outboxed it was the smart thing to do as Angulo fighting as a pressure fighter is what he does best. In that fight is when he ko'd that fighter after the clinch. I really like Angulos chances now vs. Cintron. He cannot outbox Cintron, but tying him up and having him on the ropes at close distance like Feliciano had him would give Angulo a huge advantage.
I am not trying to reply to this post. The people who say that Angulo is too much for Lara are plain ignorant. What did Angulo accomplished in the amateurs? NOTHING. While Lara is World Amateur Champ and has around 300 amateur fights over Angulo! Even though that the Am's are kinda different, it's a very good advantage for Lara and add to that he is stronger than Angulo and is also a southpaw. Lara would TKO Angulo any day of the week, but I agree that he needs to improve more. I do hope this fight happens, so that people can see that Lara beats this guy... :good
Brewer a tougher fight than Angulo.... From what I saw in his last fight don't see how anybody would want to watch this fight in the first place. Lara might pay the highest price if he decides to fight the pace of his last fight.
I agree, maybe Lara could eventually change my mind, but as of now I don't think he'll be able to beat Angulo even with a few more fights and fine tuning.
bold of Lara to want a step up like that .. I'd like to see it in 3-4 fights time **so many good young names at Super Welter, just a matter of time if/when they'll meet.
Some of you Cuban boxing fans just don't seem to understand that what two different fighters accomplishments in the amateurs doesn't mean nothing in regards to professional boxing matches unless you're in there with a bum which Angulo is nowhere near.
i dont think lara would be ready for cintron at thsi stage of his career yet either. but with the proper development and time vested anything is possible
That's the whole point of wishing... Angulo is young, Lara is kinda young..... Lara and Angulo aren't too far off so I don't see this as a huge step up.... Angulo took a step up and did not succeed... Lara/Angulo i can see that happening late in the year...
I dont think Lara is ready for Angulo yet. He doesn't have the greatest defence and dont seem to do too great with pressure fighters. Give Lara some time and he will be a top fighter in his division.
I just dont understand who did Angulo beat to jump him up into the "elite" level. Brewer beats anyone on Angulo's resume excluding Cintron.
