I'm hearing from a very good source that Lara is going to be fighting June 26 on friday night lights, there's no official opponent just yet but i do hope to see a big step up . The main event will be daniel jacobs who has looked very impressive and was on the pacman undercard early may.

Great, Lara looks like he could be a force, expect another KO win for Lara.

Deontay Wilder is scheduled to be on the card, as well, I think.

There's a guy who needs a step up, not Lara. Wilder is going to learn nothing fighting bums.

I doubt it will be much of a step up. Not enough time to schedule someone who would be a step up.

Wilder doesn't need a step up at this point. He's physically immature. He needs a year to keep busy and pack on weight before he starts facing guys who can punch.

I must say that Golden Boy is doing a great job of getting their prospects exposure on ESPN2 this year. This is especially so when viewed in combination with the imminent premiere of the Versus "Fight Night Club," which is specifically designed for showcasing younger, exciting fighters and getting them consistent work.

Wilder is still developing as a fighter. He wants to get his weight up first and refine his skills in the gym. His target weight is 245lbs.

Honestly (and not to parrot what others have been saying), I don't think Wilder is trying to learn anything in these fights. To be completely honest I think the idea is for him to continue to grow into his frame and try to get used to fighting at a weight more suitable for a HW contender.

Lara is ready for a big step up, eventually when he gets to about 15 fights he should be looking at a good name oponent.

3 more lower caliber fights and Lara will be ready for the Tatooed Gatekeeper.

Jason LeHoullier? Lara would beat LeHoullier tomorrow.

I can't imagine who else you're talking about, unless I'm just forgetting someone. Collazo isn't in the right weight class. Neither is Jose Luis Zertuche.

Nah, not Tattooed Gatekeeper Jr., but the real one Chavez Jr. is fighting forever.

Who should get Vanda first, Lara or Korobov? He's been discussed as fodder for both.
