Lara is good, but he didn't school jackshet against Canelo. Canelo did his best GGG imitation and he's not even a pressure fighter and still landed on Lara. The few headshots Canelo did land he opened up Lara's face. It was close, but Lara sure as hell didnt win it. He should take on a Charlo,Andrade, Ndam, Mora, Clottey, or Rosado. Lara just doesn't deserve a main event or crack at a belt he's becoming irrelevant.
Number 1 at 154 and has to move up because nobody wants anything to do with him. If you thought Canelo beat Lara you must think he's undefeated.
Lara takes the prize as being one of the sport's most proficient technical boxers on the level of Ward and Rigo. He won the fight against Paul Williams and won the fight with Canelo also. He was robbed each time and reminds me of another fighter whose many losses were in fact, robberies, Emmanuel Augustus. At his age Lara is probably hoping to land the biggest fights for the remaining quarter if his career. He deserves the big fights and at his skill level, these fights have the potential to be great ones. The only problem is Lara actually being able to get worthy opponents in the ring to fight him. I have Lara beating both Quillin or Jacobs at 160. When and if that happens, you can be sure that Lara will then be calling out Golovkin. The only question is, will Golovkin stand up and answer Lara's call, or will he hide behind K2 mouthpieces to avoid facing the Cuban.
A level, he beat Lara that means he's a level above. Or do you mean running around like you're in a ****ing marathon should win you the fight? If that's the case your opinion no longer holds any value.
Ggg vs Lara is a more competitive matchup then Canelo vs Ggg. Where Canelo was off balance, punching air, and lacked the speed of hand and foot, with little to no pop....Ggg has all to tools to track down and stop Lara. They still have to get in the ring and see how it plays out. After all, The best 154 Vs The best 160 Is a better fight then tureano Johnson.
If by running around the ring you mean boxing yes. Lara dominated the fight and clearly outclassed Canelo. The only way Canelo beat Lara is if the judges main scoring criteria was punching air, crossing your feet, and being ineffective. Lara was in control of the fight from the opening bell to the closing bell.
I highly suggest you look up how to score a fight and turn down the volume so you don't get influenced by the announcers.
If Lara really wants to fight GGG, then why hasn't Haymon contacted Loefler to discuss details, in particular giving Lara all clear to fight on HBO ? The network issue has to be resolved, as it is the main obstacle. Without that permission from Haymon, Lara's twitting is just a little dog barking at an elephant.
Canelo beat Lara, as many others have stated above, therefore Lara is a class below, and I don't necessarily think Canelo is A-Level either, more like B+ or A-.
