And you can talk about his opp. but so far he hasn't face a fighter with losing record, unlike other fighters that are fighting guys with 3w 45L on their 30th fight, and to that poster above saying that he look ordinary against Brewer, I don't think so, he won almost every round and koed him in the last round, a guy known to derail prospects and a very tough MF, not only that he took a few hard punches right on the nose, and didn't blink showing a good beard, what else do you want from a prospect at that time, with only 9th fights? You guys are talking like he has 54 fights and 35 years old, he has 15th fights and 27 years old now, and has answer the question presented to him.

Naw, I don't see them being interested just yet in putting their guys in there yet. I was getting excited hearing the trash talking between Lara and Vanes, thinking a fight between them was going to materialize. But nothing came out of that.

Well it's good news that Lara is going for this WBA strap, wait doesn't Cotto hold that strap?

I am with you here. Lara is looking better and better each time, and the best thing about him is that he fights almost every month and a half. Lara has adapted very well to the pros, very fast. I don't believe what some people here think that he panics on the inside, he may not be the best in the inside but panic is not a word in Lara's vocabulary.

I do believe that Lara will be a very solid Champion. He has it all, he is World amateur Champion with over 300 amateur bouts, comes from the Cuban boxing school, is a southpaw, has great speed plus power and also very good defence. Lara has also displayed some good Chin, he was hit hard against Brewer twice and he didn't even wobbled.

I just love Lara's quick straight left hand, it's lightning! Lara at the moment can beat anyone in the 154lbs division including Cotto, Saul Alvarez, Kirkland and others. You heard it here first, from Gamboa Express...:good

It will b a good match up for both of them, a banger against a technical boxer, I still think Lara has the edge.

As soon as Lara said he was available, Vanes turned the guns in another direction.

Cotto would win if he fights him now.

If he fights Alvarez now yes he would beat him. Alvarez just simply does not have the experience yet but in a couple of years i think Alvarez would beat him.

The Cotto fight hmm i would say is a toss up but Lara has the slight edge. I need to see Lara in against better opposition. I mean Alvarez has faced better opposition and he basiclaly has not amateur experience along with being only 20 years old. Once we see how Lara handles the top fighters then we can really see what he has.

Why not fight Foreman? Cintron? PW? I think he is ready for those.

Greetings Finesse! This would be a hard fight for both but keep in mind that Lara is younger, faster, has over 300 amateur bouts and is a former amateur World Champion. No offense, Cotto is good but Lara is a beast. :good
