I think so too, or he will b damaged just like Reid, More, Vargas (although I think his outside the ring life was the one that did it, not Tito) etc.. Unless he can avoid the inside war and win a dec from the outside.
Yup thats the only way he will win and he has a good chance of doing so too. Hes bigger than Cotto in everyway i think...no?
Young yes but fresh no. Cotto has around 35 pro fights, scars and battles already ... Lara is what I call " fresh " ... :good
Asi es compay, Lara would beat the snot out of both Trout and Alvarez, I have no doubt on that one. This Alvaraez that is fighting Trout I think is the brother of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez if I'm not mistaken. As far as Cotto, he is a war torn fighter who is in a division with guys naturaly bigger than him. Miguel got some advantages in his expirience but Lara has so much gas in the tank that he could end up getting the better of Cotto down the stretch. In order for Cotto to be effective against Lara, in my opinion, he'll have to keep close and work him in the inside. But that's tough cuz Lara realy is effective in keeping fighters at the end of his jab. GamboaExpress, in your honest unbiased opinion, who would you say would say give Lara the toughest challenge or even beat him out of these guys... Sergio Martinez Paul Williams Sergei Dzinziruk James Kirkland Alfredo Angulo Antonio Margarito Kermit Cintron Cornelius Bundradge Vanes Martirosyan Fernando Guerrero
Everything we do here is speculate, but when u watch a fighter for the first time, you know if he has what it takes to get to the finish line, and Lara, Gamboa and Rigondeaux for that matter has been fighting stiff competition right from the get go, in Laras case his debut was agin a guy 3-0, his second fight was again a bum because the one he was supposed fight pull out at the last minute, and then on his nine fight his facing Brewer, Rigondeaux first fight the guy was 3-2 but he was fighting Cordova 37-2 ex-champ holding a win over CC and in his prime on his 7th fight, I know after the 6th round he was conservative still he didn't lose a round after that, cordova couln't touch him, and we have to cut him some slack, his first 12th round first Belt and in such a big event please anyone could had feel a little overwhelmed, and he make sure to put that one on the bank, I'm sure if he watched the tape, he will say to himself "why I didn't press the fight more, I could had koed" and Gamboa fought 6-1 his first, 7-0 his second and 40-11 his third it doesn't get any stiffer than that, they made then look silly is because they are that good ,they are other fighters that had face some opp like that but not too many, Juanma come s to mind, they want to do the same with Pacroid and he got koed twice. Ps. I saw a young Portorican fighter he was fighting at 126-130lbs, I think on the same card that Ugas or Franco fought, and I can't remember his name, man that kid is going to b a star.
The question was for GE, but I like Lara and I'm going to give my honest opinion, I think any brawler will b pick a part by Lara, Martinez and Williams would give him trouble and I'll favour Martinez over Lara at this moment, two or three years down the line, if Lara stay true to his craft, Lara will win, Cintron could offer some anguish moments too.
Good post mi hermano. I think the more difficult opponent for Lara is Alfredo Angulo. He is tough, can give serious problems to anyone but then again he lost to Cintron fairly easily, a fighter that Lara will beat anyday :good Other difficult ones are Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams... :good
