I think K2 should do EVERYTHING in their power to make this fight.

Even if GGG has to meet Lara in the middle at 157/8.

156 is a duck by Lara. Refusing HBO deal is a DUCK by Lara.

Is Lara suddenly enough of a draw to entice someone (presumably HBO) to put up enough money to pay him and GGG what they would want/expect for this fight?

Or is he just idly flapping his gums again?

Seriously though I wouldn't mind seeing this fight, though I think GGG would win .

Lara arguably fought Canelo to a draw (think most would agree it could have gone either way) and Golovkin is better at cutting off the ring, doesn't gas like Alvarez and punches harder.

HBO isn't going to put Lara on tv. It is as simple as that. GGG will be fighting the Lemiex-N'dam winner for another belt while that ***** Cotto continues to hide.

Am I one of the few that does not want to see this fight? After seeing Angulo drop him twice I feel like Golovkin will make short work of Lara. Maybe if Lara was already fighting at 160...

this WILL be an easy fight for GGG, but the satisfaction of seeing the anti-GGG brigade get silenced (once again) will be a pleasure :yep

This is the only logical outcome. I'd personally love to see a Lara/Golovkin fight but I don't think it happens. HBO would love a brawl between Lemiuex and Golovkin as it guarantees fireworks and a likely knockout, and Lemiuex is limited enough that while he may have good moments, he probably won't overturn the cart of their current flavor of the moment, Golovkin.

Yeah that seems the most likely outcome, still Lemieux-N'dam winner will be a mor entertaining fight than Lara IMO.

As said though want to see who the haters decide he is ducking next in order to further their agenda, after they have retrospectively decided that dragging Lara up from 154 was a "***** move".

Another difference, everyone calls it a boxing masterclass when Mayweather does it.

I actually think it's a good fight for Gennady.

At this point, he's going to need another "stay busy" fight at 160 since it looks like Canelo and Cotto will be fighting in the fall. Lara would become easily the most recognizable fighter on Gennady's resume.

I don't think Lara is as boring as some people are making him out to be. Aside from the fact he's an excellent boxer, he's been in some fun fights. I thought that fight with Angulo was really entertaining. Stylistically, I think he ends up getting knocked out because he fights a bit too much off the ropes and off his backfoot, so GGG would just go and hunt him down.

Still, it would be the best name on GGG's resume and a good fight for him to take just to stay busy until he can secure a fight with one of the bigger names at MW.

When did Floyd EVER out punch & out land anyone??? ROFLMAO
All he does is run & hold like a limpet He couldn't knock the skin off a rice pudding:patsch As I said lara is a carbon copy of Floyd but doesn't have NSAC/Vegas along with Bayless. Moretti & the other Vegas officials to make sure he always gets the win.
Oh & BTW stop with all the ALTs everyone knows when its you which ever name youre using LOL:patsch

Quit talking about PBF in threads that have nothing to do with him you crazy obsessed old fool. This thread is about GGG and Lara. Which is a very interesting fight in its own right.
