It makes you #1, that's it. Do you really need that explained to you? This is why the term "Elite" on this site is so stupid. It's essentially meaningless.

i agree but at least lara has the ***** to go up to 160 like brook to face the boogeyman. canelo acted all hard talking to ggg in the ring now he is letting the whole world think he is a b%$^&

bottom line, he is creating his own little mayweather vs pac mini drama. they will avoid each other for years.

And yet, neither has done jack $hit to show they actually tried to have their promoter make it. Did they? Did they send offer sheets to Loeffler?

You sound stupid trying to say he needs to "Chase a legacy"...that's total armchair QB type talk. What legacy do you think he's not chasing? he's trying to unify his division, and is creeping on the record for title defenses at 160. that builds a legacy.

    Ask yourself this ?,,,,,,,,
If GGG is a "35 yr old aging man" as you say Why aren't the 160 pound fighters breaking their necks to fight him ?? Why isn't that red headed clucking clown of yours banging on his door
demanding a title shot????? Answer is easy
Not one fighter 168 & below has made a LEGITIMATE offer to fight GGG Why ??? They know as well as I do,as well as 98 % of the boxing world know. None of them think they can beat him & haven't the stones to try:good:hi:

I disagree. Lara did nothing the second half of the fight after a strong start.

Golovkin is in the prime of his boxing career. He is wasting his time at 160 fighting opponents with either less than 20 wins or with more than 5 losses. He's pretty much fighting in one of the worst divisions in boxing today.

At 35 he isn't going to get faster, stronger, or maore accurate, so why not stop wasting the prime years and start chasing the legacy defining fights, whether at 154, or 168?

It is Golovkin's JOB to build his own legacy and call out the best, and actually fight them, instead of blaming his pathetic resume on others.

How would they determine who wins though. The first fight wasn't even close by Boxings judging criteria and yet many people think the fight was close or Canelo won.

    I disagree
Lara was in control of the whole fight and finished strong.

according to you, golovkin is doing what larry holmes did in the eighties. trying to break a record by ducking any warm bodies.

Larry Holmes could not move up or down, Golovkin can, but doesn't, despite his team stating numerous times he is better suited for 168.

    Just spitting facts. :deal

doesn't change the fact he was ducking all challenges while trying to beat marciano's record.

And he needs to move up why? Because you think moving up is the only way to make a legacy? :huh Typical from a former blind goldy lover.

Well, at least we can agree that Golovkin's quest to beat Hopkin's record is preventing him from fighting real opposition and legacy building fights.

Because it's not going to happen at MW, and he's not getting younger at 35.

The dude needs to either start bulding his legacy now, but it seems he's content fighting nobodies or WWs.
