No. I never thought he was special or exciting. He's just your ordinary, every day titlist type fighter. I mean... that's a GOOD fighter, a solid beltholder, but he's just the guy who's there to get his ass whooped by some truly spectacular talent should one come along. If one doesn't, then he'll probably make a few defenses then go away.
He's got ecellent footwork but lacks infighting skill, Canelo would beat him IMO, until last night I picked Lara but Canelo can infight.....Floyds one of the best infighters in the games so he'd get in that azz and beat him up. Lara's a very good fighter with excellent footwork and great mid range countering and I'd pick him over anyone that isn't Floyd/Canelo at 154 and below. Lara showed a bit bof mental weaknesss last night and didn't react well to a few of Hernandez's shots....Canelo strikes me as iron willed and that will trump Lara slight advantage in skill.
Where is this mental weakness crap coming from. The same guy who had a massive swelling from an unintentional butt against P. Williams and fought like nothing happened. You guys are reaching, but its not there. Time will tell.
If you think this, you don't know **** about footwork. This is what Lara left me unimpressed with last night. I don't know what division Martinez fights in, but if it's 154, it's no contest. Canelo also has better footwork than Lara.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl WTF, you are trying to have a boxing debate with hardcore boxing fans, and you don't even know what division Martinez fights in. get out of here you casual
