All this talk about Canelo struggling against Trout, who is the best fighter that Lara has beaten that's orthodox? He looked like **** against Molina. He didn't look great against Hernandez. He didn't look good against Martirosyan. Angulo was supposed to be a bum and he almost pulled it off. The only orthodox fighters that Lara has looked good against were way below par when it comes to quality. The Lara hype began against Williams and hasn't stopped by his delusional fanbase, he's going to be punished later tonight and people will come up with excuses. Lara still has no inside game, he's going to shell up and Canelo is going to destroy the body and when those hands start to drop he's going to put that boy down. Book it Canelo wins.
He hasn't looked good against anybody but Williams and Trout. I can't wait to see Lara's fans be crushed when his hypetrain is derailed, and I'm not even that big a fan of Canelo.
Exactly, he's superman beating Southpaws and becomes Clark Kent when he fights decent rightys who aren't on Canelo's level. People point to the Floyd fight but guess what Lara can't hold Floyd jock strap and Canelo might have lost 10 rounds against Floyd but he's the first fighter in a long time who was never hurt or looked dominated. A lot of those rounds were 70-30/60-40 with Floyd eeking them out with fast touching punches. Canelo didn't finish strong against Trout but a lot of that had to do with him being up by 6-8 points on the open scoring, why should he even go for broke when he's the one that has everything to lose. Sorry Lara fans, your chosen leader will be executed tomorrow as a false prophet.
The money always pours in on the popular Mexican fighter on fight night. This should be a good fight though.
Lara isn't hype, he has already proven he is worthy of the praise he has received. Canelo is a good fighter as well and looked great in dismantling the corpse of El Perro but he is running into a brick wall tonight. Lara is going to take Canelo apart.
Lara is a world class fighter who had a bad habit of fighting to the level of his opponent. The end result is that he'd struggle or look underwhelming against guys that could've/should've been showcase fights for him. The Trout fight was a welcome change from that. I expect the Canelo fight to bring out the best in Lara tonight. I edge Canelo for the win, but I believe we'll see the best Lara has to offer in any case.
