Cotto won't fight Lara :yep Cotto is after the big money fights and Lara ain't it. Good fight tough but it won't happen. Cotto will more than likely push for a Chavez Jr fight at MW for the money ofcourse. Or probably rematch Pac, Berto/Ortiz winner but not Lara.

I'd think Chavez is a bit too big for Cotto. Cotto was at 140 not that long ago and would still be at 147 if not for Pac. He only moved up because Arum could get him a title there. Even if he is grown into SWW he is still to small for Chavez. Pavlik still talks like he might get Chavez Jr this fall. Look for Jr to vacate saying he can't make weight and let Sergio have the title.

Take into consideration the Puerto Rican population in NY and the Cuban population in NJ. Have the fight in NY and I pretty much guarantee the fight would be sold out or pretty damn close to it.

That would be a pretty good back up actually.

Lara isn't too small MW, he can move up if he can't get a fight at JMW.

it's absurd if he cant get a fight at jmw, there's a host of opponents there. it's one of, if not the deepest division in boxing. if he cant get a fight at jmw, he's the most avoided man in the sport hands down.
