Well, Lara is somewhat bigger and heavier than Hatton.

    1. I have been saying this even before Hatton/ Floyd. Hatton is a "decent" fighter @140lbs. But thats about it.
    2. Erislandy Lara is a light middleweight. Whar the hell did you expect????
    3. I have never met a Cuban that doesn't like to talk.

Hatton's punch resistance had long gone and he was well past peak

We all knew that before the pac fight, anyone who has followed his career knew it thats for sure.

Lara is the truth he's ready for a title shot right now. I have no doubt he outclassed Hatton in sparring.

Bringing a guy like Lara in to spar Hatton is a cruel joke it's like a pig being taken to slaughter.:yep

No doubt Lara is going to be mega but I remember a few years ago when that Irish kid Bernard Dunne got the better of Shane Mosely in sparring. Mosely, classy as always had some nice compliments for Dunne, but sparring and a real fight are two different things.

Apparently Khan's dominating Holloway in sparring too, means nothing.

That's a confidence breaker right there to have your people fire the sparring partner because he hits too hard...

stories like this happen all the time.

Oscar got a black eye from Ortiz when preparing for the Pac fight and was getting outboxed by Calderon when preparing for the Floyd fight. Hatton was getting a beatdown from Lara.

Anyone who thinks sparring is completely meaningless has his head buried in the sand. Sometimes fighters practice certain things but they are not practicing getting their ass whipped
