It's not a bad consolation prize if Canelo(e) falls thru. Although I think GGG spanks him, and it will be met with accusations of GGG picking on a smaller guy, it does pose some style questions, which might be fun to watch addressed.

But the idea that GGGs fans are calling for Lara to jump thru hoops is sort of ironic, and self-serving.

 

If you mean him beating some credible opponents that fight at 160, then I agree. If he can do this without officially moving up to 160, more power to him.

 

I hope this fight happens. When Golovkin puts a hurtin' on Lara you *****es better give him his due.

So, why wouldn't Lara ask Haymon to contact Loefler and discuss the fight and the network issue ? Twitting is just seeking publicity.

Lara could seek much more realistic fights against Haymon fighters like Charlo brothers or Quillin/Jacobs, but he prefers to blah-blah-blah instead and fighting bums.

I got it...for May double header, Have Canelo vs Clottey, and GGG vs Lara and put it as a Collision Course themed event where if both come out victorious they face off in September... I'd buy that on PPV with 2 more undercard fights tossed in...Why Not.. Dangerous fights for both.

The stupidity of GGG fans is amazing between the two Lara is one who has actually fought top competition, and consistently gone after the best fights. Yet it is him who has to step up....ridiculous smh.

 

Honestly after the Canelo fight I have no interest in watching Lara fight ever again, he totally stunk that fight out with the most negative display in a ring since Johnny Nelson vs Carlos De Leon.

Why would anyone, let alone Golovkin, want to fight a guy nobody wants to watch. If Lara wants to fight Golovkin he will need to make a case for it by beating some decent middleweights in impressive fashion.
