I guess this has become a pre-fight ritual for Lara. Call GGG out right before your fight and go quiet after.

Hey guess what Erislandy, GGG has studied you too and know your flaws, like how open your ass is for a left hook.:hey

It will be fascinating to see how it plays out should it happen.

Elite offense vs. elite defense, two very high ring IQ's, amateur legends, immaculately fit workhorses.

I just can't get the Lara-Angulo match out of my head and how much better GGG is than Angulo at cutting off the ring, and power-wise, I know you like Lara, as do I (more than most defensive fighters) but I just don't see him having that much of a chance here. But sure, bring it on.

If he knocks out Lara I'll give him a ton of credit. It might even be his career best achievement.

Regardless of whether you consider them more dangerous h2h in general (especially at 160lb) the likes of Lemieux, Rubio, Macklin and Stevens were far more stylistically made to order than Lara would be.

As for "slick" boxers, the closest to Lara you can find on Golovkin's record are Willie Monroe Jr. and Grzegroz Proksa :)lol:) and neither of them holds a candle.

That doesn't leave much, besides Ouma, Geale and Murray (whom I know you don't think highly of) and while Geale was a proven top middleweight, something Lara isn't, you have to figure the problems he presented with his work rate don't compare with the defensive puzzle that is Erislandy Lara. Even though I do agree with you that Golovkin would eventually find & catch him and put Lara to sleep, it will net the highest 'degree of difficulty' marks of any opponent yet stopped by GGG.

Yeah you're right Lara stylistically would be one of GGG's more difficult opponents, but the same can be said for GGG as far as Lara goes, who has he faced that even compares, Molina who's a spoiler and awkward, he lost too, Vanes was giving him problems and I don't rate Vanes all that highly, and Canelo can't cut the ring off worth a damn and is flat footed as he could be and if those guys gave Lara problems, I don't see GGG having too much to worry about, it might take him a few rounds to figure him out, but when he does, it won't last long.

even the much smaller Floyd stood his ground and picked Canelo off like a punching bag, something Lara feared to do :yep

    :yep

Canelo hits like an anorexic little schoolgirl for a Ginger.

    Bob Fitzsimmons
    Danny ''Red'' Lopez
    Colin Jones
    Mickey Ward (body shots)
    George Groves

In fact, Canelo might well be the most feather fisted Ginger of all time. And Lara was absolutely terrified of his power. :patsch:rofl

So far, Little g has ducked Lara, Bernard Hopkins and Ward, the three best boxers of the Jr. MW, SMW and LHW divisions.
So, who does Little g call out instead? Retired Carl Froch, retired Floyd Mayweather and fat and slow Chavez Jr.
Little g isn't interested in fighting the best. He's just interested in lining up an endless string of mediocre b level opponents to make himself look good. He the Ronda Rousey of the MW division.

Lara and Hopkins pose absolutely no threat to Golovkin and don't really want to fight him. Otherwise, they would at least try starting negotiations.

Ward ducked Golovkin two years ago and used him recently just for publicity purposes knowing perfectly well that timing of his "offer" would make it unacceptable.

You're wasting your time with a mentally ill troll who thinks not moving up two weight classes for one fight is a "blatant duck".
