GGG should call his bluff and shut him up. At least then he and Canelo would have a common opponent, further building up a possible showdown. Do I sense a little hesitance? I'd pick GGG if it happened. But, Lara does have a style that could make GGG look bad. And sometimes that alone is enough to make fighters duck challenges.

Unlike Golovkin, Lara has a history of having fought on a HBO/Showtime sponsored event.
Lara ain't playing with Little g and is definitely stalking him like he's a hungry Cuban tracking down a startled and fleeing Russian mountain goat. I see this as a 50/50 fight, but in his last tune-up Lara showed a purely offensive stance and quickly disposed of his "Golovkin" level opponent in 3 rounds.
Perhaps the fight may accually be 60/40, in Lara's favor. Vegas odds would probably be Golovkin as 8:1 favorite. Great chance to make some change. :good

If GGG beats everybody what's the point in him fighting at all, I think Alvarez beat Lara close many people think Lara won as well.

If you think Lara beat Canelo, you should be in favor of GGG fighting Lara and not making excuses.
I think GGG wins but it is obvious that Lara is better than anyone on GGGs resume more proven as well. A clear win or KO over Lara would be GGGs best win.

 

I am in favor of GGG fighting Lara if it doesn't interfere with unification fights or mandatory defenses. The question which proponents of this fight refuse to answer is whether Lara can get Haymon's permission to fight on HBO and why he is not trying to get such permission.

P.S. After GGG stops Lara in 3, the same people will be saying that Lara was overrated blown up JMW who had to headbutt Vanes to get a draw.
