The only problem with fighters like Lara who I rate very highly, is if you put Lara in against Lara you have no fight

    Imagine Floyd v Floyd ?

Come forward offensive risk taking fighters maybe limited but without them we have NO sport, boxing would cease to exist

But maybe these come forward fighters need to use their heads and just stand still for a few seconds and beckon the 'runner' to do something, rather than play into the more mobile counter punching boxers hand permently

A good example of not playing into your opponents hands is Groves v Degale, close fight but Degale was heavy favourite but didn't have a clue once he realised he would have to the aggressor

He gets hate because he likes to keep it at range and people sometimes expect "fights" from boxers.

Wlad gets the same type of hate.

Defensive master-classes are boring to watch to a neutral.
Aggressive ones(Joe vs Lacy) get the credit because they're exciting.

Ha...Thinking Canelo won 7 rounds against Lara makes you the noob. Or maybe you are just that clown Dan Rafael in disguise. He massages Oscar's left foot, while you do the right. Canelo lost to both Trout and Lara.
Keep on buying the manufactured propaganda. Don't get me wrong, Canelo is a good fighter, but to call him the #1 light middle-weight is a joke. Stop being amused by the bells and whistles.

Vanes was looking to get bailed out of the fight too. Holding that against Lara is just wrong. He started slow, but still should of got the decision. It was obvious Lara was pulling away with that fight.

I stopped reading after, "Canelo won rounds 5,7,8 clearly"

-Rewatch the fight if you actually think Canelo won those round.

Wow. I can't believe anybody on here would even think about giving Canelo those rounds. But when you said "clearly", I was forced to think that you were a troll.

Maybe I should of used a comma I said cleary its a close fight as the result was a split decision. Imo if Canelo won 7-5 on both cards instead of winning one by 9-3/8-4 nobody would have a problem.

Some rds Lara boxed and some he ran I felt he ran more than he boxed. I'll give you the P.Will fight that was a bad decision but, Lara lost to Canelo. No offense but your probably just an alt/troll anyway.

If you take away name value....No objective observer should have Canelo beating Lara or Trout.

Ha. I'm the troll because I'm not distracted by the bells and whistles surrounding Canelo.....right. Keep telling yourself that.

No idea how you have Canelo over Trout and Lara.

This is what happens when boxing power is concentrated in the hands of the few....People will eat up whatever Oscar and Arum spit out. Jeeze

If people objectively viewed all these fights. The top 5 at 154 is quite clear.

    Mayweather- Champion

    1-Lara
    2-Trout
    3-Canelo
    4-Andrade
    5-Bundrage

But no....Everybody gotta fall in line with the Oscar's smoke screens. Like the Wizard of Oz, him and Arum, pulling levers. And everybody on here is willing to go along.

I can see Canelo-Trout being a draw I thought Canelo took his foot off the gas after the knockdown because open scoring had him needing a KO to win. Canelo was outboxing and landing most of the telling blows early on and let up in a 5-3/6-2 type fight. Overall Trout got beat up and dropped.

Canelo-Lara imo was a clear 7-5 but I can see others having it a draw or 7-5 Lara. To me Lara came out boxing Canelo would adjust as they interchanged the first 6 rds, Canelo swept the mid rds banging that body Lara just ran throwing mostly jabs and backing up while Canelo banged on him.
Lara won 2/3 of the Championship rds losing the 12th imo close fight but Canelo edged it.

Lara is seriously overrated, he is a seriously boring and negative fighter. Canelo beat his ass, throwing a few pawing jabs, then one hard jab and then the occasional left hand does not win rounds or fights.

He doesn't get robbed, he gets just treatment.

my brother just made me watch lara/smith and lara/canelo before i made that post.

Lara deserves all the **** he gets.

He needs to go back to the amateurs where he belongs.

Lara will never win another meaningful fight.

You do realise his fight with Yaegashi got more than 10,000,000 viewers? So I guess the obvious question is "like anyone knows or cares about Lara?" who was seen by...how many people?
