There is literally no good reason for GGG to fight Lara.

Does Lara have a middleweight belt?
    Is Lara a mandatory challenger?
Does Lara have a middleweight ranking?
Is Lara the undisputed champ at 154?
Does Lara bring in a lot of viewers?
Will Lara produce a fan-friendly fight?
Is Lara promoted by a company that will work with HBO?

in order, canelo, saunders, jacobs, eubanks jr, lara, cotto. that should be the checklist. quillin would still be nice too, but we know he hasn't suddenly grown a pair.

Is El chicano's imagination the source? You've made up these "news" so many times by now

Why did Golovkin fight Rosado? What did he ever do but be a Junior Middleweight moving up.

Do you realize there's a difference between 2013 and 2016?
    Yes or no.

Doesn't matter. It happened, just like they said anyone from 154-168 happened too. Golovkin has to be held to that.

Anyone from 154-168. Guess who's in the 154 weight class willing to do exactly what Rosado did?

If the fights with Jacobs or Saunders fall through Lara can get that beating if he wishes.

Agreed. Which Lara looks like the most viable opponent at the moment. Don't think Jacobs or especially BJS are ready for Golovkin. But we might end up getting Golovkin Johnson next.

About Rosado.. People should realize that fight was 3½ years ago. If Lara offered a fight to GGG at the time GGG fought Rosado, Golovkin would surely take it. It's not early 2013 anymore, so Lara will have to earn it. Go and convince Saunders, take his belt off him, and he will immediately get a call from K2.

Khan and wade just fought on hbo

Lara has headlined several major network shows

The fight will be fan friendly against Lara if it turns out the way all of Lil gs fans say it will "oh he'd destroy Lara"....sounds fan friendly to me

The only real reason for GGG to fight Lara is to shut up people who're pretending that he's "ducking" him. Actually ... it might be worth it.

In the real world, I'd rather see him face Canelo, Jacobs, BJS and Eubank Jr.
