Erislandy Lara look much better tonight but still a lot of work to do. With a new American experienced trainer, things should get better. I applause this move..Congrat Lara! He look more focus, combining his punches and doing more on the inside. Still staying a little bit too passive with the offense..I need to see him more aggressive and trusting his punching power. Punching power....where is it Lara? You need to bring more excitement to your fights...it's not only winning, or out-boxing your opponent but giving life to the show if you want to have a broad, loyal fan base. I don't like the fact that Lara stays too passive at time when he could be attacking his opponent. Let's see what he brings in his next fight but unless he start developing a more aggressive fighting style and start knocking down opponents...he might not get good reviews from me....a Cuban fan.
He looked much better than his fight against Brewer. He can probably Outbox many of the guys in boxing and proabably not have too many losses by the time he retires.
He's a good talent, but not a great one like he's hyped to be. He has good speed and skills, but his lack of pop will bite him in the ass one day. Lucky for him theres no specail talent at 154 right now, except for Tall Paul and Martinez. After a few more fights I think he should be matched with Angulo. He'd be way too quick for El Perro, but at least Angulo's pressure and power would give him a test. He'll also be ready for Spinks pretty soon cause Cory is over the hill. But he's still a ways off from being ready for Cintron, and his chances vs Martinez and Williams arent even worth discussing at the moment.
