Lara really dropped the ball,Floyd will stand in the pocket and trade fire, and connects.. Lara just ran in circles and he had to chase Lara all night.. This was Lara's chance to really make an impression.

I don't think the comparison is even remotely the same.....Lara didn't have to fight in that manner last night...He gave the appearance of someone scared.....Floyd doesn't look scared in his fights....when Floyd moves its for a reason....I have no problem with the running style if the fighter is punching a lot and winning.....What Lara did last night was a disgrace.....

The guy who said Floyd hasn't used his legs in a while is right, I would say that Floyd did move pretty good against the ghost but prior to that it was against Baldomir, the fight Floyd didn't have his trainer with him...But Floyd didn't run against Canelo he was in the pocket and punching range....the announcers made sure to note that as well, nor did Floyd run against Hatton whoever is on here that says that isn't too understanding of what it means when we say runner......

This is a very good post....it is true....another fight not mentioned was his fight with Jesus Chavez, that fight always gets swept under the rug for some reason... Juse has always contended that it takes a runner like lara with an unconventional offense and good conditioning to beat Floyd....it's really hard to find all that in one single fighter.....

Now that we know the truth that Floyd can take a punch it becomes more difficult, because that means it's gonna have to be a fighter who can land 2 and three shots at a time to get him out of there....all the whole time being cautious of what Floyd is throwing back, because he's dead on accurate with is punches......the only thing working in anyones favor now is the fact that Floyd is pushing 40......

To the guy who said Floyds shoulder roll didn't work on Maindana.....your post was good up until you said that......Floyd landed nearly 6 out of every 10 punches he threw.....while standing up against the ropes......Marcos landed nearly 3 for every 10......he had to throw 800 windmills to land his 220 punches......only a few of those 220 punches were effective as Floyd was never hurt in the fight from a punch one single time.....all Marcos did was throw a lot of punches.....and gave the appearance of doing good, but what Marcos was getting caught with was real major league ****.......

Lara isn't in range for anyone. Mayweather stands in the pocket.

Lara wouldn't be in range for Dhalsim from Street Fighter half the time, let alone himself.

The way he fought last night made the average Floyd performance look like Carmen Basilio on PCP

You are a trainer and could not see that Floyd was the one who made the adjustments and chino had no answer.

last time I remember seeing Mayweather look like a runner or close to what Lara did was against Castillo 2. but boxing and straight up running are two different things. delahoya last four rounds against Trinidad was running the First Eight was Boxing. big differance.

That was pretty much the last time Floyd spent significant portions of a round on his bike

He doesn't have the legs anymore

Everything Floyd does, he does to put himself in position to throw punches, and exploit his opponent's openings. When Lara moves it is to stay out of harm's way. Big difference.
