Lara has dispatched Angulo and Trout and should have been in there vs Canelo, instead via smoke and mirrors they gave you Angulo and well how does a guy get Knocked out twice and land a PPV While the guy that took out Angulo by KO and soundly thrashed Trout the guy many felt should have got the nod vs Canelo Meanwhile Lara sat at home avoided to the point he is willing to fight Golovkin to land a big fight whats wrong with this picture. anyone?
Lara was ringside. I hope thats a sign that the lara/canelo fight will happen at the end of the year. Maybe floyd fights the winner?
Canelo was just coming off a loss also, he was looking for somone to be a ppv dance partner which right now Angolu was more of then Lara, and you cant talk about Trout since that fight was already made when Canelo picked Angulo
anyone with any sense knows thats a harder fight for canelo and they werent going to sign that fight as his comeback bout.
I think Lara will lose due to his suspect chin. I was impressed with canelo tonight. He showed Angulo a lot of different looks. He fought in the pocket, he used his jab and showed his power. Lara will have to fight on the back foot I wonder what will happen if Canelo connects on his chin. We saw what a jab did to Trout.
Lara (his fans) need to stop with the Cuban amateur attitude...good job Al Haymon :yep Lara should be fighting at 147 Rigo should be fighting at 112 When Cubans stop being stuck in amateur mindset...then they can KO opponents and impose themselves
Canelo vs quillin. Maybe Charlo since the ibf belt will probably be up for grabs since Molina is in jail.
Canelo will look to fight Cotto for the middleweight title after Cotto dispatches Martinez. Then Canelo will be the lineal middleweight champ. I doubt Canelo will ever fight Lara, though I think Canelo would have a decent chance of beating him.
I was thinking if Canelo fights Lara it will be at 160. Canelo has a hard on for cotto and would take that fight if he wins the MW title.
Definitely. It would be much easier for Canelo to fight Cotto than Sergio. I actually have seen an interview with Canelo where he says that he won't be fighting Sergio because his people have told him it's not a good fight for him.
According to Molina they approached Lara for a rematch on the undercard, but Lara wanted no part of it after receiving a gift draw in their first fight, preferring to be a hater spectator at ringside rather than seeking vindication. Lara is like any other boxer, he's only chasing dollar signs, but he doesn't bring much money to the table himself.
lara would be the obvious pick next unless canelo holds out for the martinez - cotto winner but considering that fights in june i see him signing a fight before then (which leaves only lara)
