Based on what? He'd have to be pretty special for me to pick against Lara. This kid has an interim title, so I guess that's good, but I'd rather Lara fought a Charlo, Hurd, or even Andrade. This doesn't get me excited.
He's already beaten Derevyanchecko in the WSB, the only one to do so, and just beat Michel Soro by decision IN FRANCE, and deserved it, Soro is very heavy handed, hurt Antoine Douglas several times, beat Tapia by stoppage as quickly as Lemieux did, handed Maciel his first and only stoppage loss, stopped Blandamura, stopped Lawal, something Murray couldn't accomplish, and Castano took bombs from him all night and didn't come close to getting hurt, got on the inside of a great counter puncher and outworked and hurt him several times late.
Sounds like he had a good amateur career 185-5-5, gold medal in the South American games, beat Derevyanchenko in WSB. Okay, he checks out. I am now looking forward to this.
I might add, he has a win over Errol Spence in the amateurs, a southpaw like Lara, and Lara is starting to show signs of slowing down, I really hope Brian can stop Lara here, because while he may outwork Erislandy if it s here, he may not get a fair shake on the cards.
That's a hell of a fight. Toughest fight Lara's had since Canelo. This'll tell us how much he's really got left in the tank.
5ff7, 67" reach, you think he can beat old man Lara? 14 fights lol Last fight a SD I am sure Lara is terrified lol, can't wait for Lara vs Hurd!!!! Lara vs Hurd is a real fight, this sounds like a warm up
It was no SD it should have been a UD, he won in France against a French fighter, and Soro is easily better than Martirosyan, Lara's best opponent since Canelo and Trout. Soro quite frankly would be a really stiff test for Lara, there's no guarantee he'd beat him. 14 Fights LOLOLOLOLOL!!!! Lara had 16 fights going into the Williams robbery. Your point?
