    Erislandy Lara will defend his IBO & WBA 154-lb titles vs Yuri Foreman on January 13th. Foreman is riding a 6 fight winning streak heading into the bout, but this is a big step up in class for Foreman, as it's his first World Title Fight since fighting Miguel Cotto back in 2010.

    Lara has won 4 straight since dropping a points decision to Canelo Alvarez back in 2014. This bout Main Events the PBC on Spike Card from Hialeah, Florida.

    WTF is Lara doing with his career fighting the fringes of 154? He used to be the most avoided behind Williams and Margarito but now he won't face a young buck at 154 itching for a title. After Yuri he needs to fight a Charlo or Andrade or hang em up and go hang out Gamboa and Rigo and wait for a big fight.
    The days of Cubans being feared are gone. Now you are lucky to get these guys to put the gloves on after big check.

    Of course but when it's Delvin Rodriguez, Jan Zaveck, and Yuri Foreman... long, long, long past primes for any of them, for 3 of his last 4 opponents over the last 2 years... I don't know, criticism is warranted considering it's Lara we're talking about, not some rising unproven dude.
