Based on what I see before me when I watch him. Im no Glovtard but I know talent when I see it.

His opposition isn't the greatest because he genuinely is being avoided.
Martinez won't go near him. Louis DiBella said that straight out.

Why doesn't Lara fight Peter "Kid Undercard" Quillin? That would be a great fight on some undercard.
Oh, right because that's a fight that could realistically be made.
It's easier to play the name game and talk about fights that can't happen.
There's never any shortage of f*ckers who eat this stuff up.

He's on a suicide mission, he wouldn't last 3 rounds. This guy was almost KTFO by Alfredo f****n Angulo. FFS.

He does kinda smother guys though - he gets right in their damn face and stays there - even when he gets backed up briefly he's right back in front of them moments later like he's tied with elastic. The only times this has varied is in a coupla of fights like Ishida or Osama where he might not feel so threatened, or in the first coupla rounds whilst he's still feeling someone out.

I don't know who has the technique, movement or aggression to prevent him doing this when he hits his stride - maybe it is Lara, but both my gut and my head are saying no. Angulo has somewhat more talent than you imply, but I take your point - however, applying pressure without getting hit (as much) is always gonna be the more successful strategy.

Lara needs to shut up and step up his game. I normally don't condone ducking but I'll give any star fighter a pass for ducking Lara. Any promoter willing to put Lara in a main event should get their head examined.

Please stop with the "everybody is ducking him" nonsense.

Golovkin is being protected. Period, end of story.

If everyone @ 160 is soooooo afraid of him then why doesn't he just move up? I hear Andre Ward is available.

If nobody @ 160 wants to fight then why stay there?

Who is he meant to fight at 160?. Martinez and Kirkland refused.

He doesn't want to move up and fight Ward but then again Ward doesn't want to move up and fight Kovalev.

Ok, if Martinez and 154lb Kirkland don't want to fight - along with everyone else @ 160 - then what sense does it make for Golovkin to campaign there against a string of BUMs, STIFFs, TOMATO CANs, No Hopers and NEVER WEREs?

Why stay @ 160 if NOBODY there wants to fight?

WTF does Ward not moving up to 175 have to do with the price of tea in China or the fact that Golovkin is being protected? I fail to see a connection. Stop with the excuses and the red herrings..

I don't know. I'm sure Golovkin's handlers can pick up the phone and call Ward's people to get an answer to that question. That is, as soon as they're done digging up corpses for Golovkin to beat up on...

Didn't i already say he doesn't want to move up. GG said he'd fight anybody at 168 but that has since been debunked as baloney.

That doesn't bother me but you're beefing him for it but not Ward who clearly has no interest in moving out of his division which offers him nothing.

I wouldn't say staying at 168 is bad for his legacy even if LHW has some feathers for the cap to be taken... Ward has a serious chance of going down as the GOAT at 168, if he plans to stay there for another few years, which would leave his mark in history... I've got no real problems with a fighter who stays put in a single division.
