To anyone with the slightest bit of knowledge, this isn't news.

Everyone knows Lara has never attempted to make a fight with GGG, and only uses Golovkin's name to promote his twitter page. If you out there, reading this, call out GGG on twitter- you have proven yourself as brave as Lara when making the GGG fight (and most of you lot would actually probably fight him and get knocked out for the kind of money you get).

Even Kell Brook actually made contact with GGG's team for f-sake, and doesn't hide behind a Haymon-exclusive TV deal like Lara.

 

Do you deny he said they have never formally reached out?

Don't know if you know this, but for a fight to happen in boxing, there has to be some sort of formal deal made.

Lara expecting GGG to formally make the approach, is the equivalent of Viktor Postol (if he gets beat by Crawford) expecting Floyd Mayweather to make the approach. (However maybe not quite because Postol would fight Mayweather, Lara wouldn't fight GGG).

guy wants to fight cotto, canelo, froch, chavez and floyd

but you mention andre ward and hes sprints away as fast as he can and tries to see if barrera can do the work he knows he cant

one night in the ring with ward ends the ggg myth and gravy train

hes so protected and carefully matched its sickening....only wants to fight guys hes sure he can beat...put an a level, elite, prime fighter like ward in front of him and he ****s his drawers

if viktor postol were to claim he wants to fight floyd publicly...then yeah it would be on floyd to make the approach

because thats what guys like floyd, canelo and pac do....they select their opponents...pick the dates and the money and the venue.....thats what ggg does unless hes talking to one of those guys.....ggg/lara situation is ggg dictating the terms ....so he reaches out

you think floyd, pac and canelo sit back and field calls from every tom **** and harry that want to fight them? no.....because everyone wants to fight them....they select and reach out to their desired opponent

ggg just doesnt fancy a fight with lara....because his style isnt conducive to their "brand"...they want come forward and easy to hit fighters they can knock around and find easily

ggg could very well blast out lara easily and quickly....but we wouldnt know if we dont see it....laras style isnt easy to solve when hes on...he can make it difficult......even a guy like murray was able to move around and stay away from ggg for most of the night....a guy with laras skill might be able to also....

but we wont know because k2 doesnt want that risk....2-6 round ko's sell better

 

Lara saying he wants GGG knowing damn well Golovkin's next step is the WBC title.

For the record, I thought Cobra would have to be the favourite when the fight first mentioned in 2012/13, but I'd give the edge to GGG after seeing Froch against Groves.

im just real about ggg...i think hes a real good fighter...like really good...i have no actual beef with him...hes a good guy...good style....could be real good for boxing

but for all the hype he gets...people talk about him like hes different and here to save us from all the wrongs in boxing....but his team runs his career just like any other fighter out there...like any other fighter that has been killed by forum posters for the same stuff...or less....and some of those guys are much more accomplished

if people were able to be real about ggg...and hit pause on the praise...and actually demand him to do what it takes to make better fights? then i wouldnt say a bad word about him

 

You're not wrong, but pretty much every fighter gets overrated by their diehard fans. We have people here who believe Tyson Fury is H2H GOAT, people who believe Wilder is as good as Tyson or George Foreman, and It was recenty claimed Errol Spence would be better than Floyd Mayweather, or that Postol would beat both May and Pac. It is what It is.
