1 min ago, on the stage of « La Zone » on radio canada, Larouche told people their will be a rematch between Bute and Andrade. He said that everybody is asking for it, even Bute. Bute told rds.ca earlier he wanted to make no doubt in mind of some people that he is the one deserving of the belt and that he will ask to give Andrade a rematch. Sorry for my english, I guess everybody is happy now :deal !
I doubt it. Not only does Bute have to fight Larsen next. Andrade has a nasty cut and he's probably out for the game for a couple of months.
The Larsen fight is one I strongly disagree of them going after.... Sauerland has convinced them again to go fight in Germany.... If you're gonna go fight in Europe, it must be a big fight like one against Kessler. Otherwise, you try to increase your visibility on the North American stage and potential fights there are not lacking !! Larsen ?? Un****inbelievable !!!
They have to fight Larsen or they will get sued by Sauerland for breach of contract. From what I've heard the fight will be in Montreal tho.
When was that contract signed and what led to such a contract being signed ? Did Interbox owe anything to Sauerland ?
Interbox wanted the Berrio-Bute fight to be in Montreal. To avoid the purse bid (that they would have lost against Sauerland) they accepted a last minute concession. Which was to defend the title against one of Sauerland fighters in case of a Bute win. They were suppose to honor that contract in April against Larsen but Bute injured his knee and then defended against Andrade instead.
It's up to Andrade's promoter to back their fighter and put the money on the table to get Bute to fight out of Montreal. Because no where in the world would that fight be bigger then in Montreal. GBP has the contacts to bring HBO into the picture which could make the fight possible in LA or Las Vegas. Unfortunatly for Andrade. He doesn't have the fanbase to sale out a large venue like Bute can. If they can't get a large amount of money from a US tv network. That fight will have to happen in Canada.
